KARI - It literally means black and is donned by cruel characters

PACHA - Pacha is the name of a make-up in kathakali.
It literally means green and  is donned by heroic characters.

Desi GREEN LANTERN

Green lantern is a popular western comic book character. I tried to
give it a humourous twist by imparting the mask on Indian faces.

MUMBAI - Short Animation Film

This short animation film is my take on Mumbai, inspired by conversations of people as they sip their daily dose of ‘Mumbai cutting’ tea. The project later transformed into the expression of my views of the city. The narration in the film is a collage of my many trivial and nontrivial experiences of Mumbai - the chaotic chawls, the Bollywood influence on Mumbaikers, travelling in overcrowded local trains, gushing roads during monsoons, characteristic accent of people and so on. It talks about the life force of this thriving metropolis despite bomb blasts, floods, riots and other struggles. Nothing can break the lively spirit of Mumbai.

KATHACATURE

Kathakali  is a highly stylized classical Indian dance-

drama noted for the attractive make-up of characters

Make up is based on a certain set of colors, each of which is used to represent a particular aspect

Uttamthullal is a type of performing art from Kerala, India

Theyyam is a popular Hindu ritual form of worship of North Malabar in Kerala
